It's a Wrap!

I am crazy about the chunky, wrap and stackable bracelets in style right now! Finally, feminine jewelry is back in full fashion! This also makes summer shopping a breeze, I'll just pick up a few simple sundresses and maxi dresses, as well as some great-fitting shorts and t-shirts (loving the black, dressy short shorts I purchased from JCrew, they are super sexy paired with heels! Ok, I am getting off track, but here is the link if you want to pick up a pair: cute shorts).
Anyway... paired up with a tan and some great bracelets it will be a no-brainer to get ready this summer!

Here are a few bracelets that I like...

The bracelet seen above is my FAVE!! I have one very similar that was purchased at Anthropologie, and it goes with everything. I get complimented on it all the time and it is absolutely my go-to accessory.

House Remodel Update

It has been quite a while since I have posted any updates on my home remodel.  We ran into some structural problems and had to install new beams to make the home structurally sound. But now that is done and we are making great progress...

Above is the gutted bathroom. We had to remove everything down to the studs due to water damage and a rotted floor... wasn't in our plan..urg! $$$

We removed the wall between the kitchen and the dining room to open up the space. This was a good decision even though it cost us more money to install a supporting beam.

(Ava, my renovator is training)

Moving right along in the bedrooms... New windows installed...check, New sheet-rock up...check, old carpet ripped up...check. At least something is on time and within budget. =)

Another bedroom

Above is the Dining Room in progress. New windows done and new recessed lighting installed.

OOPSIE, the first coat of exterior paint was awful! Yes, big goof on my part, I will take full responsibility for this one! So I am having the guys repaint the house a softer shade of yellow.
I don't know about you, but I just suck at picking paint colors!

Have a great weekend!

How to Drink All Night and Stay (Halfway) Sober: GQ.com

This article caught my eye. At 30-something years old I still haven't mastered this so I was hoping to learn something! Skipping the shots and drinking water throughout the night is great advice, however I somehow seem to always forget that after a few cocktails....

Princess Party

We celebrated my daughter's 6th birthday with a Princess Party and it was a huge hit with the kids...So much fun!

Garden Table

Each place setting included
a princess crown, pink lemonade, candy necklace and of course a wand.
Dessert Table

A cake fit for a Princess indeed!

Some cake for the grown-ups! =)

I just love these little bite size pink cookies.

I placed our train table out on the grass and layered it with Princess coloring sheets for a art area.

A little ruffle sheet made this hammock a sweet getaway.

This chandelier hung from the tree
added a little whimsy.

A King's crown and toy frog for the boys.

More tree whimsy

The polka dots on the chalk
make drawing that more fun.

You can't have a Princess party without a Princess...
The girls were in awe!
